Choosing the Right HDTV source
Few instructions have to be followed if the installation is being done manually. The foremost step is to choose
the method by which HDTV signal has to be received in your house. For this one can either go for an antenna signal,
satellite programming or a HDTV cable service. Once this is decided, the appropriate product has to be purchased. A
HDTV bundle comprising of accessories like tuner cards, antennas and connector cables has to be purchased next
depending on the location and the type of HDTV service available out there.
One has to make sure that the HDTV are mounted on proper wall mounts or on a table top. In case wall mounts are
not provided with HDTV one can get them from any electronic store easily. The next & important step is to fix
the HDTV antenna in an appropriate position for the best optimum signal. In case of a satellite, the satellite dish
has to be mounted on the roof and the receiver has to be installed in the house. Most HDTV antennas are hooked up
directly to the TV as the HDTV tuners are built in the TV's. You have to run a coax cable from the antenna to the
TV which will receive the signal. Satellite receivers receive the signal from the dish and are hooked up to the TV
with a HDMI or component cable. If you choose to go with the cable company, then the cable company will provide you
with a high definition box which will be hooked up to the TV.
Now HDTV programming packages can be ordered from the cable company or the satellite provider. In the case of an
off air antenna no programming packages have to be ordered, you will receive HDTV transmission free.
